Welcome to Colonial!

Colonial is a online-multiplayer micro-strategy game. Each match plays on a randomly generated map where players must compete for resources; make and break peace; and battle each-other for territory.

You can use various troop types from knights to infantry and bishops to artillery. Expanse through territory and the tech tree are essential to claim victory!

This game is and always will remain free but donations are welcome.

• The settings menu is opened with 'ESC '
• Holding 'ESC' quits the game.
• Each player takes control once per turn, where they earn currency based on the amount of total resources.
• Resources are split into three categories: population, produce and industry. Each troop type requires resources to spawn, which are provided by buildings. Hovering over a troop/building in the menu shows the resources required/provided.
• Fortresses are used to spawn new troops.
• Selecting owned tiles allows you to place buildings.
• Some troops require a specific building to spawn.
• New troop and building types can be unlocked via the tech tree, opened by the wrench in the top right.
• The leader-board can be opened via the icon in the top right and allows you to see game progress. Selecting a faction allows you to communicate and manage truces.
• The bishop provides protection to surrounding troops.
• Hounds can chain kills.
• Sappers can place certain buildings such as explosive-barrels (that destroy buildings), rafts (to cross rivers) and blockades outside of owned territories.
• Fortresses can be taken by holding a troop on the tile for a turn.
• To win, there must be only one faction with territory remaining.
